Lisa Sprague is a Michigan native and creative food enthusiast who has been blogging her creativity and cooking for three years at Indie-CharmedLife. Her passion for sharing gardening to good eats tips – with a mindful healthy appetite for fresh recipes – resonates in this latest blog adventure “Midwest and Grassfed.” Always displaying a grow-what-you-know attitude, Lisa is continuing her journey to reach beyond the plains to connect and share her joy of cooking with the plates of people near and far. Along the way she aims to add to her growing cookbook collection, and a future “Midwest and Grassfed Family Roots recipe book, while fearlessly embracing her motto: “Food is life, eat slowly and enjoy.”
When not cooking and blogging, Lisa is a graphic designer and mother of two growing, teen-aged foodistas who expect fine dining in the home now. She farms a modest acreage of four raised garden beds in her backyard, including a DIY potato tower and a kale jungle. Likes to read how-to’s, primarily photography (food photography especially) and traveling with her husband. She still struggles with ironing, gravy making and not eating all the cookies.
